Other Alabama Psychology Internships
- UAB Clinical Psychology Internship Program – this is an APA predoctoral clinical psychology internship. It is sponsored by the UAB School of Medicine and VA medical Center. Interns will be involved in addiction recovery, mental health evaluation, visually impaired rehabilitation, primary care, pain management, and geriatic and neuropsychological assessments.
- Central Alabama Veterans Health Care Systems (CAVHCS) Psychology Internship Program – this is a superb psychology internship for graduate students from APA accredited doctoral degree program. The internship is designed to provide student pre-doctoral training while serving the health needs of U.S. Veterans. Interns will receive exposure and training in geriatrics, mental health, primary care, rehabilitation and extended care. Interns can look foward to rotations in neuropsychological testing, outpatient mental health clinic, primary care, veteran's industries, high intensity psychiatric unit, compensations, pensions, sexual trauma therapy, and rehabilitation psychology, among others.
- Tuskegee – Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System Internship Program – this is a predoctoral internship sponsored by the Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System. It is a full-time, 40 hour per week internship that is APA accredited. To be considered for this intership students must be enrolled in APA-accredited doctoral program in counseling or clinical psychology. The objective of the internship is to help interns (1) become more competent in psychological practice and (2) develop assessment, intervention, consultation and supervision skills.
